Healthcare onboarding has to be auditable
Healthcare onboarding is unlike most industries because completion is not optional and not just an HR concern — it is a regulator concern. HIPAA, OSHA bloodborne pathogens, and patient-handling SOPs all require attestable training that can be re-certified annually and produced under audit. A new clinical hire who skipped the HIPAA module is not a missed onboarding KPI; it is a compliance finding.
The conventional answer is a vendor-built compliance LMS, often priced per-seat and paired with stock content that does not match how your facility actually operates. Kompyl takes a different path: we read your HIPAA policy, your incident-reporting SOP, and your EHR access guide, and produce the slides, quiz, and facilitator guide that mirror them line-for-line.
What healthcare customers feed Kompyl
- HIPAA policy + breach response plan — produces the privacy module and the incident-reporting quiz
- OSHA / safety manual — bloodborne pathogen training, sharps protocol, PPE checklists
- Patient-handling SOPs — transfer technique, fall prevention, infection control
- EHR access + workflow docs — login provisioning, charting standards, escalation paths
Each output is editable PPTX (open in PowerPoint / Google Slides), CSV quiz banks (uploadable to any LMS), and a facilitator guide a charge nurse or compliance officer can run against in an in-service session.
Why "regenerate from policy" matters in healthcare
HIPAA guidance updates. Your facility's incident-reporting workflow updates more often than that. Most compliance LMSs require you to re-author training every time the policy changes — which is why so many facilities are still running 2019-vintage modules. With Kompyl, the policy is the source of truth: edit the policy, regenerate the kit, redistribute. Annual re-certification becomes "did the policy change? regenerate." rather than "block out two weeks of L&D time."
What this is not
Kompyl does not host learners, track completion, or produce SCORM (yet — SCORM export is on the enterprise plan). It produces the content. If you need a tracking system, the outputs upload cleanly to TalentLMS, Docebo, Moodle, Litmos, and Workday Learning. If you only need internal training material your charge nurses can run from a laptop, the PPTX + facilitator guide combination is enough on its own.
